Alpha linolenic acid

Alpha linolenic acid is a polyunsaturated fatty acid containing 18 carbon atoms and 3 double bonds. It belongs to the omega-3 (n-3) fatty acid family and is one of the essential fatty acids for the human body. Alpha linolenic acid is the parent of Omega-3 series unsaturated fatty acids, which can be converted into DHA, EPA, etc. in the body, with stronger and safer effects than DHA. The human body cannot synthesize alpha linolenic acid on its own and needs to obtain essential fatty acids from food. Alpha linolenic acid usually exists in the form of glycerides in dark green plants, such as perilla seed oil, flaxseed oil, peony seed oil, etc.
